At the center of this charming piece, the figure of Eros, a symbol of love and beauty, is beautifully carved in delicate coral.

The manufacture is likely of Neapolitan origin, recalling the characteristic style of well-known goldsmiths such as Castellani & Giuliano and/or Melillo.

It dates from the mid-19th century, precisely around 1850/60, and has approximate dimensions of 4 x 4.5 cm.

Its state of preservation is exceptional, taking into account the time of its making and the use to which it has been subjected over the years.
