Beautiful and large three-layered agate cameo depicting a half-length female figure in profile facing right, within an exquisite gold and white enamel frame in the archaeological style in the manner of the Castellani and Carlo Giuliano goldsmiths, with attachment for pendant and brooch.

The whole enclosed within an antique case lined internally with blue velvet and satin and externally with leather.

Roman manufacture of the second half of the 19th century c. 1860.

Excellent condition, commensurate with age and use.
