A Georgian agate cameo from the early 19th century depicting the profile of a veiled woman facing left wearing a laurel wreath.

Note that the veil is fully polished, that it is very unusual.

The cameo is mounted in a later gilt pinchbeck frame, both as a pendant and as brooch.

Dimension of the gem itself cm 3,2 x 3,2 - with mounting cm 5,1 x 4,1.

Perfect condition commensurate with age, a tiny chip in the lower left part of the veil.
