Neoclassical fan decorated in tempera and watercolor on very fine parchment depicting the "Pier of Naples with the eruption of Vesuvius on the night of 31st Octorber 1786"; on the right a view of "Naples Vesuvius taken by day" and on the left the "Collosseo or the prison of S. Gennaro in Pozzuoli". mounted on ribs in ivory carved with floral motifs.

Italian manufacture of the late 18th century post 1786.
