A fine and unusual fan project page painted on swan or chicken skin, decorated with various symbologies of love. At the center is depicted Pegasus, one of the winged horses of the mythology born from the behading of the Medusa, which due to its wild nature, the free nature and the possibility of flying, represents the indomitable and unrestrained love. On the sides two butterflies, symbol of transformation and rebirth, but also of caducity, to symbolize the volatile and non-lasting love. In the story of Love and Psyche, the latter is often depicted with butterfly wings. Follows two rounds with depictions of pigeons. On the left, two pigeons, symbol of peace and conjugal harmony, hold a crown among their beaks, symbol of eternal union and marriage. On the right, instead, they hold two arrows, symbol of Eros. At the two ends other butterflies. All surrounded by intricate grotesque decorations.

Roman school of the second half of the eighteenth century, attributable to the atelier of Tommaso Bigatti (active between 1770-1810) or Camillo Buti (1747-1808), both specialized in the creation of fans and miniatures on fine leather.
